Two steps forward

This was a rough day, lots of SI joint pain today. Perhaps the hill training yesterday was a bit too aggressive, perhaps it’s just a usual hiccup on the road to recovery. For me, recovering from this injury has never been a linear progression, there have always been sideways, even backwards steps along the road forward. I’ll take it easy today and get in some warm water for a soak tonight. We’ll see what tomorrow has to say. When you’re recovering from an injury, you shouldn’t compare how you feel today to what you feel like when you’re healthy, you should compare how you feel today compared to how you felt yesterday – one way measures progress, the other measures a lack thereof. I’m contemplating purchasing an SI belt to see if that helps at all during the day. We’ll see.

Andrew started basketball tonight, he did a similar program a few months ago. He loves basketball, but he’s always nervous when starting something new, that’s normal. Unfortunately, he said he didn’t like it, let’s see how next week goes. 

Smoothie for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, mac & cheese for supper.
