It's official

Here it is, my receipt for the the P.E.I. 10K entry fees – all registered. 

Wahoo! 

It’s been a while since I participated in the Charlottetown event, but it has always been one of my favourites. With the start/finish being in the same place and the close proximity of the hotel to the finish line, it’s just a joy to participate; all you have to do is wake up on time and walk a few steps to the start line and away you go. Plus, there’s chocolate milk at the finish line, how can you beat that? 

What a snooze I had last night, a pre-bedtime nap and then sleep from about 900p to 630a. I should be caught up from the weekend now. Sleep is so important to my “best by 50” plan. 

No running on the schedule today, so instead I went out for a 30 minute walk lunchtime and jogged the uphills. I was sporting my new Run For Your Life running hat – I love it. 

Hit the weight room tonight, overall felt good, kept it light. 

I drove the car for the first time in a long time today, sitting is still an issue and I want to avoid it for the rest of this week, but I was pleased that the pain I experienced after sitting behind the wheel was not as bad as I was expecting. I have been sitting in the passenger seat with the seat back in the reclined position to keep the weight off of my pelvis – this will continue for at least a few more days. 

Smoothie for breakfast, sandwich for lunch, cold plate for supper.
