Onward

Hooray! Almost got a full night of uninterrupted sleep – would’ve too if the power didn’t go off at 120a setting the smoke alarm and multiple UPS devices into a beeping frenzy. Power was restored within a couple of minutes, but I could have done without the disruption. 

One coat of poly completed and back is feeling a little stronger today – have a bit more endurance for how long I can stand comfortably. Doesn’t mean I’m going to do a lot today, rest and stretching on my agenda for today and tomorrow. My short term goal is to go back to work with some level of comfort – from experience, 8 hours at work with this issue is a personal hell – I know violins and tears… 

Today I’d like to start filling in the details around my Best50 plan, that is, the plan to be in the best shape of my life on my fiftieth birthday, 864 days away. Seems like a long time I know, but, there’s A LOT of work to do. Actually, that’s not exactly fair, I’ve been pretty good with eating and exercise over the past 16 months or so and I’m down a few pounds. A couple of weeks ago I ran 5K so I still have a little fitness in me and plenty of time to build it up again – 864 days allows for this – a smart, sustainable approach to a healthier me. 

Played The Show online with Andrew, he wants a sleepover tonight with his friend Ben, I don’t – maybe next weekend. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Got the third and final coat of poly on the last cabinet top, besides that, it was a day of rest and stretches. Feeling better, not there yet, but on the way. 

Pizza for breakfast, leftover Chinese for lunch, Mary Brown’s for supper. That’s the trifecta.
